As a Reception & Administration Support Officer, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the efficient operation of MASP’s front-of-house reception and administrative functions.

MASP is a not-for-profit organisation located in Mildura, Victoria and is seeking to fill a full-time ongoing position. 

Job Description

As a Reception & Administration Support Officer, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the efficient operation of MASP’s front-of-house reception and administrative functions. Based at our Mildura office, you’ll be part of the Corporate Services Team, collaborating with key departments to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery. Your role is essential in creating a professional, welcoming environment that upholds MASP’s high standards.

Your primary responsibilities include managing telephone enquiries, greeting clients, and assisting visitors with warmth and professionalism. Beyond reception duties, you’ll provide vital administrative support to various teams, including Corporate Services, People & Culture, and Finance. This includes coordinating general maintenance, overseeing inventory, and supporting broader organisational tasks.

Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be key to ensuring that client and visitor needs are met promptly and professionally, positioning you as the first point of contact and enhancing the overall client experience.

 

Expected commencing salary of $71,066.61 per annum plus statutory superannuation. Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.

This role can involve emotionally demanding situations and exposure to psychological hazards, including client distress, trauma disclosures, and urgent responses. MASP prioritises staff wellbeing by providing supervision, debriefing, reflective practice, safety measures, and access to wellbeing resources. We encourage open communication—raise any concerns with your supervisor, management, or the OHS Committee as soon as possible.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience

  1. Proven experience in delivering a professional, friendly, and welcoming customer experience, particularly in a reception or front-of-house setting.
  2. Well-developed interpersonal skills together with written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders.
  4. Experience in providing reception and general administration support for a diverse range of programs or services.
  5. Demonstrated judgement, to make sound decisions based on business needs, taking action to ensure results meet organisational expectations and measures.
  6. A positive and results-oriented attitude, with a focus on completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
  7. Ability to adapt to new situations and drive continuous improvement through innovative approaches.

Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience

  1. Experience in a not for profit / charitable organisation.
